[IN-DEV, MORE FORMATTING PENDING]
Yet Another Furniture is a mod designed to be a replacement for Another Furniture which has had its entire concept and branding completely solidified. It is a re-imagination of our original mod bringing new features and blocks in a new art style.
v1.0pre1 : Initial Release
- Added Drawers
- Drawers can be interacted on either their top or bottom half, and have separate, smaller inventories - this is sort of a niche feature and is not intended to be particularly useful, more-so just immersion for people who want cute little kitchens.
- Drawers can be right-clicked with any Vanilla plank type as well as Quartz Blocks to add a countertop, which can be replaced with other blocks or dropped when broken.
- Added Benches
- Benches connect in a straight line on their sides
- They can be right-clicked using a Copper Saw to remove their backs.
- Benches can be right-clicked with an empty hand to sit on them.
- Added Cabinets
- Similar to Drawers, Cabinets also have "countertops", but unlike Drawers they have placement similar to Pistons - if you're looking upward, it will place the Cabinet with the "countertop" facing downward, but if you're looking towards the floor, it will place it with the "countertop" on top.
- Cabinets have similar smaller inventories to Drawers but are on the left/right instead of the top/bottom.
- Added Chairs
- Chairs work similarly to how they did in Another Furniture, but now use the Copper Saw.
- Right-clicking with a Copper Saw will cycle through different styles of their back.
- Shift + Right-clicking with a Copper Saw will remove the back.
- Right-clicking on a Chair with any colored Carpet will add a cushion.
- Right-clicking on a Chair with any colored (Vanilla) dye will dye the cushion.
- Cushions can be removed from Chairs by right-clicking on the Chair with Shears.
- If broken, Chairs will drop their cushions.
- Chairs can be right-clicked with an empty hand to sit on them.
- Added Curtains
- The long-awaited feature of dynamic Curtains is finally here - Another Furniture players rejoice! (may be buggy - Curtains are still quite WIP)
- Curtains can now tile vertically and horizontally and will open no matter what shape they are connected
- Added Fans
- Fans can be attached to any face of a block, and will rotate appropriately.
- Fans can be activated (separately, blades + light)Â by right-clicking or sneak + right-clicking.
- If facing upward, Fans will make entities float, including mobs, Players, items, and more. Can make for some fun parkour or transportation (especially when used with Boats, albeit a little buggy!)
- If facing sideways, Fans will push entities in whatever direction they are facing.
- Fan "columns" are 8 blocks deep.
- Added Flower Baskets
- Another Furniture's Flower Boxes got a bit of a revamp as well! They can now be placed on walls, floors, and ceilings, and have an easy-to-edit in-game config - no more data packs to try to edit what can be placed inside!
- Flower Baskets can be right-clicked with flowers or other plants to place them inside.
- Right-clicking on a Flower Basket that already has a flower in its slot with a new item will replace the item inside.
- Right-clicking on a Flower Basket with Shears will remove the item inside.
- Ceiling and floor Flower Baskets can hold 1 item, while walls can hold 2.
- Added Lamps
- Lamps come in all wood variants, and can be colored by right-clicking on them with any Vanilla dye when they are in-world.
- Lamps can be stacked, becoming taller, and right-clicking on any connected lamp post will toggle the top on and off.
- Added Mailboxes
- Mailboxes, by default, are placed as "[YourName]'s Mailbox", but can be renamed in Anvils like any other block to change their inventory name.
- On the right side of the Mailbox UI, there is a text entry box. Putting in a name (or block coordinates) here will target a Mailbox of that name, but will not work if there are multiple Mailboxes of that name.
- To send an item after inputting a name or coordinates, sneak + right-click on the Mailbox to put the flag up. This will put it into sending mode, and after a couple seconds it will go down, indicating that the items have been sent.
- You may notice a "lock" icon near the text box. Toggling this will make the Mailbox preserve the inputted name or coordinates of the location items were sent even after they are sent, whereas if not locked the name will be cleared after sending.
- Mailboxes can deliver mail cross-dimension.
- Added Shelves
- Shelves can be placed on floors, walls, and ceilings, and are placed top-bottom similar to Slabs.
- Sneak + right-clicking on Shelves with 2 in one block will remove the Shelf half being clicked.
- When crouching, Shelves will display the count of items in their slots - this can be changed in the config to either be always, no matter if crouching, or never.
- Punching a Shelf slot with items in it will take 1 item at a time.
- Right-clicking on a Shelf slot with an empty hand will remove the entire stack.
- Right-clicking on Shelf slots that already have items in it, but not a full stack, with the same item in your hand, will add your items in your hand to that stack.
- Added Sofas
- Sofas connect similar to Stairs and are pretty much identical to Another Furniture.
- Sofas can be dyed in-world by using Vanilla dye items on them.
- Sofas can be right-clicked with an empty hand to sit on them.
- Added Spigots
- Spigots can be right-clicked to be turned on or off.
- When on, Spigots can be right-clicked with items such as Buckets, Glass Bottles, or Sponges to fill them.
- Cauldrons underneath active Spigots will progressively fill.
- Added Tables
- Tables can connect in all horizontal directions
- If right-clicked with a Copper Saw, Tables will turn into half-block versions of themselves, kind of like coffee tables.
- If right-clicked with any colored Carpet, a tablecloth will be added to the Table. These can be removed with Shears.
- Interacting on Tables with tablecloths with any Vanilla dye will dye the tablecloth.
- Added Tall Stools
- Tall Stools can be right-clicked with an empty hand to sit on them.
- If right-clicked with any colored Carpet, a cushion will be added to the Tall Stool. These can be removed with Shears.
- Interacting on Tall Stools with cushions with any Vanilla dye will dye the cushion.
- Added Wind Chimes
- Wind Chimes are an ambient block that emits occasional sounds. That's pretty much it. They make pretty sounds. I like it and you should too. >:)
