Changelog

Next round of custom enchantment implementations, featuring all custom enchantments for various weapons, and a first showcase of enchantment-dependent components, among many more.

Is now for the newest 1.21.5 release.

NEW ENCHANTMENTS:

Warrior Clash

  • Adds +1 damage per level when attacking certain kinds of mobs:
    • Players, Pillagers, Vindicators, Evokers, Illusioners, Witches, Ravagers, Piglins, Piglin Brutes, Zombified Piglins, Hoglins, and Zoglins.
    • Has a chance of inflicting Glowing onto any hit mob.
  • This occurs at a 20% chance +5% per additional level.
  • Max level 5. Is a speciality damage enchantment, meaning it is incompatible with Smite, Bane of Arthropods, Density, and Dispel.
  • For Swords, Axes, Tridents, and Maces.
  • Can be found via an enchanting table, random applicable loot, non-experiment Villager trading, and on random mob equipment.
  • Offered by Taiga Librarians if the Villager Trade Experiment is enabled.

Dispel

  • Adds +1 damage per level when attacking certain kinds of mobs:
    • Endermen, Ender Dragons, Blazes, Breezes, Vexes, Allays, Slimes, Magma cubes, Snow Golems, Iron Golems, and Ghasts.
  • Has a chance of inflicting Poison onto any hit mob. This occurs at a 20% chance +5% per additional level.
    • This intentionally does not occur on hit Enderman.
  • Max level 5. Is a speciality damage enchantment, meaning it is incompatible with Smite, Bane of Arthropods, Density, and Warrior Clash.
  • For Swords, Axes, Tridents, and Maces.
  • Can be found via an enchanting table, random applicable loot, non-experiment Villager trading, and on random mob equipment.
  • Offered by Taiga Librarian Villagers if the Villager Trade Experiment is enabled.

Cleaving

  • This enchantment increases damage by 1 + 0.75 per extra level, but lowers attack speed by 0.1 + 0.075 per extra level.
  • The item also gains 50% more shield stun regardless of level, into 7.5s stun duration.
  • Max level 5. Incompatible with Efficiency.
  • Exclusively for Axes.
  • Can be found via an enchanting table, random applicable loot, non-experiment Villager trading, and on random mob equipment.
  • Offered by Jungle Librarian Villagers if the Villager Trade Experiment is enabled.

Jackpot

  • Increases the experience gained by defeating mobs by 2x + 1x per higher level.
    • Due to datapack limitations this boost does not occur on chopping down naturally spawned Creaking Hearts.
  • If enchanted on an Axe, the Axe will receive one less durability loss from attacking.
  • Max level 3. Incompatible with Looting.
  • For Swords, Axes, Tridents, Maces, Bows, and Crossbows.
  • Can be found via an enchanting table, random applicable loot, non-experiment Villager trading, and on random mob equipment.
  • Offered by Desert Librarian Villagers if the Villager Trade Experiment is enabled.

Chilling

  • Melee attacks inflict freezing damage to non-player targets for 1s + 1 per higher level. This effect does not occur for players nor entities immune to freezing.
  • Skeletons hit by Chilling will soon convert into a Stray.
    • If attacking a player without any leather with this enchant, they will instead receive Slowness X for 2s, and take 2 + 2 per higher level of freezing damage soon after.
  • Max level 3. Incompatible with Loyalty and Channeling, but can be paired with Riptide.
  • Exclusively for Tridents.
  • Can be found via an enchanting table, random applicable loot, non-experiment Villager trading, and on random mob equipment.

Longshot

  • Deal additional hearts of damage with arrows when striking foes that are farther away.
    • Deal +1 heart if the target is 15 to <30 blocks away
    • Deal +3 hearts if the target is 30 to <45 blocks away
    • Deal +6 hearts if the target is more than 45 blocks away.
  • Max level 1. Incompatible with Infinity.
  • Exclusively for Bows.
  • Can be found via an enchanting table, random applicable loot, non-experiment Villager trading, and on random mob equipment.
  • Offered by Jungle Librarian Villagers if the Villager Trade Experiment is enabled.

Precision

  • Arrows fired will fly perfectly straight for a short moment, not being affected by gravity.
  • With each level the arrow will fly perfectly straight for 0.5s + .25s per higher level, up to 1.25s max.
  • Max level 4.
  • Exclusively for Bows.
  • Can be found via an enchanting table, random applicable loot, non-experiment Villager trading, and on random mob equipment.
  • Offered by Savanna Librarian Villagers if the Villager Trade Experiment is enabled.

New Features:

  • Repair cost tweaking has been completely overhauled via detecting the item upon being selected in any inventory or GUI, in addition to within the inventory:
    • Items without any enchantments will be prevented from extra repair cost entirely.
    • Enchanted books, regardless of the enchants it has, will be prevented from extra repair cost entirely.
    • Items with enchants only as high as level 1 have a max extra repair cost of 1.
    • Items with enchants only as high as level 2 have a max extra repair cost of 3.
    • Items with enchants only as high as level 3 have a max extra repair cost of 7.
    • Items with enchants only as high as level 4 have a max extra repair cost of 15.
    • Items with enchants only as high as level 5 have a max extra repair cost of 31.
    • This now prevents 99% of all Survival instances of Too Expensive! with this pack, while allowing an increasing exp cost to have merit in the enchant ecosystem.
  • All Armor Trims are now renewable via rare drops from various “boss” mobs.
    • None of these drops can be boosted with Looting.
    • 5% for 1 common Armor Trim from Ravagers.
    • (Common includes Sentry, Coast, Wild, Dune, Bolt, Wayfinder, Raiser, Shaper, or Host)
    • 5% for 1 rare overworld Armor Trim from Wardens.
    • (rare includes Vex, Flow, Ward, or very rarely, Silence)
    • 5% for either 1 Eye or 1 Spire Armor Trim from Ender Dragons.
    • 5% for 1 Rib Armor Trim from Withers.
    • 15% for 1 Snout Armor Trim from naturally spawned Piglin Brutes.
    • 2.5% if the Piglin Brute was summoned ominously. See prior changelog for details.
    • 2.5% from Elder Guardians summoned from ominous events. See the prior changelog for details.
    • Naturally generated elder guardians still have a 20% chance.
  • Consuming an enchanted golden apple will now lower the repair cost of an item by 1 anvil use (31 to 15, for example) if said item is in the offhand.
    • Added so that there is always a method of making an enchanted item potentially usable on the anvil regardless of past usage.
    • A new hidden advancement in the Husbandry tab is added for eating an Enchanted Golden Apple, called Overpowered. Based on an old achievement.
  • Deepslate is now a rare drop from Silverfish, at a 20% drop rate. Boosted by Looting.
  • Nether wart blocks are now crafted with 4 nether warts instead of 9. Gives 2 blocks.
  • A new Ominous Event is added: When under Bad Omen and using an unnamed Eye of Ender inside the End, 1-3 Phantoms will be summoned in its place.
  • Enderman killed in the End have a 5% chance to drop an Eye of Ender.
    • Eyes of Ender used in the End will direct to the nearest End City.
  • Endermites killed in the End drop an Endstone block 100%.
    • They also have a 50% (+16/33/50% per level of Looting) drop of 1 block found in the Enderman Holdable tag. In addition, the tag is updated to include these blocks:
    • Deepslate, Sugarcane, Cobweb, Iron Bars, Ice, Nether Warts, Gilded Blackstone, Magma Block, Soul Sand, Coal Block, Bone Block, & Crying Obsidian.
  • 7 Magma Blocks, 1 Blaze Powder and 1 Bucket can be crafted into 1 Lava Bucket.
  • Iron Bars can now be quickly smelted into 1 Iron Nugget.
  • Endstone is now considered a stone variant for crafting purposes.
  • Phantom’s loot table drops have been modified:
    • Now always drop at least 1 Phantom Membrane.
    • Now drops 1 Leather at a 10% rate. Chance boosted by Looting.
    • Drops a heavily damaged Elytra 1% in the End, very slightly boosted by Looting.
  • Putting an Eye of Ender onto a Campfire will melt it back into a Blaze Powder.
  • Obsidian can now be obtained by putting Crying Obsidian in a blast furnace.
  • Crying Obsidian when mined in the End may drop a ghast tear, similar to Flint/Gravel.
  • Bottles of Bad Omen can now be found in End City loot chests.
    • They also sometimes drop from Shulkers with the Levitation effect.

Tweaks:

  • Various tweaks and additions have occurred to the Power enchantment:
    • By default, each additional level now increases the arrow damage by 0.375.
    • The secondary damage boost from hitting Glowing targets has been changed to being the direct usage of Spectral Arrows.
    • Power now boosts the arrow damage by 1 + 0.5 per level if the arrow used was a Harming Arrow. Does not occur if the ammo weapon used has Multishot.
    • Power now boosts the arrow damage by 2 + 1 per level if the arrow used was a Strong Harming Arrow. Does not occur if the ammo weapon used has Multishot.
    • If successfully fired from the weapon, then it does item damage based on the Harming arrow used: either +1 for Harming, or +2 damage for Strong Harming.
  • The changes to Protection from Alpha 0.6 are reverted.
    • The prior changes resulted in the possibility of extra unusable EPF.
  • Reworked various advancement functions due to the complete overhaul of repair costs.
  • Added translation keys for all custom enchantments.
  • Various misc. optimizations to functions.
  • The generic damage type now bypasses damage cooldown to fix a bug.
  • The Trim-Enchants Flow effect now does 1.25 blocks of safe fall distance per piece.
  • The Trim-Enchants Coast effect grants 100% more swim speed than prior.
  • Added recipe advancements for the new crafting + furnace recipes.

Fixes:

  • Fixed the rare particles from Trim-Enchant repairing effects having the wrong colors.
  • Fixed the Trim-Enchants Ward effect not fully increasing sneaking speed as intended.
  • Fixed the Trim-Enchants Silence effect only doing 10 damage regardless of stacking.
  • Fixed the Trim-Enchants Bolt effect not requiring its Trim Pattern for effect.
